And so it begins. I don't know anything about ecology, horticulture, construction, design, geology, or architecture, and I can't draw to save my life. Nonetheless, I have decided to take steps towards becoming a landscape architect. To that end, I need to get better at some of those things mentioned above. Given that I'm at least a 2 hour drive to the nearest college, the best place to start seemed to be attempting to learn how to draw.To start it all off, I've really pushed myself on this project: I drew a cube. And then, another cube. And ultimately, SIX CUBES were drawn on this piece of paper; some segmented, some not. That's right, six whole cubes. Except for that one with three sections: I didn't quite finish that I guess so it's not really "whole." And I guess some are not cubes. Boxes.
So, I'm good, right? If I can do that I've got it down, I think. This is what the pros call "the ability to think in 3D." Clearly, I'm already a master. Those cubes have at least three dimensions.
Christ, this might be hopeless. Also, apparently I needed some mustard that day.
The fancy kind.
